Disney Blog Party Tag!

Anna's Disney Blog Party is now in progress, so do pop over and check it out! Since my sister next and I both enjoy many of the same films we thought it would be great fun to answer the questions together and combine the results. So here you are!

A Miss Jane Wheeler (Éowyn's current secretary whose role it is to encourage her to actually proceed in her literary duties) will be recording their answers.

1. Why do you love Disney?
From what little they have heard/seen of him, he seemed a pleasant enough fellow, and they also sincerely thank him for his momentous and dazzling work in the history of film. Also he had a knack for creating and rounding up some of the most lovely and enduring stories of all time! So let us give him a hand, peoples! And why not a cheer for good measure? Hip, hip, HOORAY! (Ah, and yes the journalist realizes she somewhat flipped the question. :))

2. Who is your favorite Disney princess?
Aurora/Brier Rose from “Sleeping Beauty”. (This was a very, very clear choice for the persons answering.)

3. Who is your favorite Disney female character?
Once again it is an assured choice – Dusty from “The Apple Dumpling Gang.” They even named one of their cats after her!

4. Who is your favorite Disney prince?
Prince Phillip from “Sleeping Beauty” received a rousing and assured nomination from the two parties in question. For where else, they say, can you find such courage and fairy-tale princely perfection combined?

5. Who is your favorite Disney male character?
For this the interviewees slightly waver. Arwen gives half her flowers to Fritz from “Swiss Family Robinson”; however, the other half–and all of Éowyn's–go to Franz Lerner from “Third Man on the Mountain.” Both inflexibly state that Franz is simply AMAZING!

6. Who is your favorite Disney Villain?
The vote is split and it is between Ursula from “Little Mermaid” and The Witch from “Sleeping Beauty”. A very forbidding and sticky pair to be sure.

7. What are your favorite Disney song(s)?
All of the “Beauty and the Beast” instrumental tracks, and some of the vocal ones are great favorites of both Éowyn and Arwen. As is “Once upon a Dream”, but then is that song more Disney...or Tchaikovsky?

8. What is your favorite Disney movie?
Arwen's is “Third Man on the Mountain.” For Éowyn it is very close between “The Apple Dumpling Gang” and “Swiss Family Robinson”.

9. What was the first Disney movie you saw (or remember for that matter!)?
For both it was either “Mary Poppins” or “The Apple Dumpling Gang.” And so, ladies and gentlemen, it was in that subtle way that a great love for the old classic movies was born!

10. Do you prefer the old Disney movies or the newer ones?
They are (in some things) most old-fashioned girls, so it is little wonder that the old classics appeal to them.

11. Tangled or Frozen?
When it comes to “Tangled” both say: “We cannot say...that is we cannot say at this time...” (because they have not seen it). Éowyn has not seen “Frozen”, but Arwen states that it was an altogether pleasing film.

12. Favorite Disney Pixar movie?
“Ratatouille” has some delectable views of Paris, but since both are western loving girls, it is little wonder that “Cars” is the favorite.

From Miss Wheeler: I noted that the answers are quite narrow in scope of film and hinted that perhaps it might be well to broaden their answers. But Éowyn stated that it was simply a sign of self-control and particular taste. They would also like it said that they have seen (and enjoyed) many other Disney films.

Yours sincerely,
J. Wheeler, Secretary.

From Éowyn: I would like to give a huge “thank you” to Anna for hosting this party and another to Arwen for answering the questions with me! :)

  2. I loved reading this, Eowyn!
Oh, you have to watch Tangled and Frozen. They're really good!
I love the Swiss Family Robinson too. :)
Is Arwen one of your younger sisters? And who is Jane Wheeler, if I may ask? :)

    1. I am glad you enjoyed them! I enjoyed reading yours, too. :)
I was inspired to “hire” a secretary (aka I decided to make one up) after seeing Wayne Morgan's secretary in “Lady on a Train”. I did so because it is a great help to have someone to encourage me to actually get all my writing done! However, Arwen really is one of my terrific “little” sisters. :)
