Besides "The Lady of the Lake", I have not read any of Scott's other works, but I remember listening to "Ivanhoe" when I was little and finding it so very inspiring that I put together an entire Playmobil set up for it. :) It does sound like Scott's favorite story line had a good dash of fairy tale in it. :)Éowynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11740991607580029470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-155453966183166227.post-46448280789961132092014-04-06T11:36:01.988-07:002014-04-06T11:36:01.988-07:00So pretty! I read that and Marmion and another long one years ago. I enjoyed them. I think he is a faaar better poet than novelist. Besides Ivanhoe (but still similar) his stock storyline which my sisters and I mock is "poor blond Scot soldier travels and does noble deeds and falls in love with rich lady whose hand he does not deserve, but wait he is a lord in disguise (or the king of Scotland or whatever)."
